Lapa is considered the be the place where the bohemian style of life was born. With wonderful architecture, it is where the best bars, restaurants and nightclubs in town are located, with music for all tastes, as well as antique shops and the traditional fair at Rua do Lavradio.
There are grocery shops, bakeries, coffee shops and banks in the neighborhood.
Especially the Church of St. Anthony of the poor, which has been restored and has a nice pipe organ, in addition to the houses of Rua dos Inválidos.
