Comfy, rustic and fully functional private unit originally built as a caretaker apartment for the owner of our home in a historic barn built in the late 1800s. This unique self-contained apartment has all the amenities of home including super-fast wifi and Apple TV. It also has two fairly steep staircases so is not well suited to young children or anyone who doesn't do well with stairs. Can sleep 2 very comfortably in the king bed. The loft living room has a futon that can sleep 1-2 additional people. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets on the balcony overlooking the river. Close to all the amenities of Quispamsis, Rothesay, and Saint John yet feels like you're in the country.

The unit is almost exactly 1 mile from a gas bar and convenience store. A great place to grab an ice cream cone in the summer and enjoy the river view. All the amenities of Quispamsis and Rothesay (grocery stores, restaurants, etc) are within a 10-15 minute drive. The QPlex (recreation centre) and the Kingston Peninsula ferry are both only a 5 minute drive away. It's approximately a 15-20 minute drive to uptown Saint John as well as the Saint John airport (YSJ).

This is a quiet family neighborhood and the road that runs in front of the unit (along the river) is a popular spot for walking and biking. About a 15 minute walk to access the Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail), or drive 5 min to a parking area and access the trail from there.

Our home is nearby if you need anything but totally separate so you have lots of privacy. We have lived in the area for over 20 years and are happy to recommend scenic drives, hiking spots, etc.
