The Old Church is set in private grounds in a semi-rural location and retains many original features. The local grocery shop and restaurant are a 5 minute walk, with many attractions only a short drive. We have a welcoming wood burner, a covered south facing deck with fire pit & climbing frame/tree house for the children. Our dining room seats 16 as standard & we can recommend local bespoke catering options. The Old Church is ideally suited to groups of friends and families.

The Old Church has a stunning living area with a feature stained glass window, beautiful log burning stove, cozy book reading snug and a tennis table on the mezzanine level.
The spacious dining area features a large bespoke wooden dining table seating 16 a standard. It also incorporates a seating area incorporating an original church pew, piano, bar recess and direct access onto a large covered decking area make this a relaxing and flexible entertaining space.
The large kitchen is well suited to self-catering for groups and there are a number of bespoke locally sourced catering solutions available on request. The local restaurant is a 4 minute walk from the property, with a wide selection of restaurants within a short drive.
Each of the 5 individually designed bedrooms feature bespoke furniture and flat screen TVs.
The ground floor is wheelchair friendly with the largest bedroom being on this floor, featuring an ensuite wet room. The dining room, kitchen and a sitting area are also on this level. There is wheelchair access to the decking.
There is a rustic garden area including a climbing frame / tree house for the children.

The Old Church is for the exclusive use of guests. There is a private entrance and parking for two cars directly in front of the Old Church with further parking in our private car park adjacent to the Old Church. There is a Lodge within the grounds of the Old Church which can be booked with or independently from the Old Church, it has its own private entrance and does not overlook the Old Church from any aspect.

The Old Church has a large south facing deck which is partly covered and a rustic garden. Gates can be closed to make it safe for children. The beach, farm park, Robert Burns Museum, fantastic National Trust venue, adventure playgrounds, several golf courses are all within a 10-15 minute drive, with championship golf courses within a 25 minute drive. There are several bespoke catering options. The Ayrshire Home Cook School provides cooking lessons and catering. The excellent local restaurant provides catering for groups and offers takeaway. Coastal Kitchen Ayrshire caters for intimate dinners and a delivery service and focuses on using the best locally sourced high-quality ingredients.
We have our own separate accommodation to the rear of The Old Church. If you are able to share information on the make up of your group and the reason for your stay we can help you decide whether The Old Church is a suitable venue. We typically do not host hen or stag parties, however if you have any questions as to how we can host you at The Old Church please do not hesitate to ask.

The Old Church is in a private and secluded semi-rural area. The village shop and excellent restaurant are less than a five minute walk and it is a short drive to many more restaurants and attractions, including Ayr Beach, Ayr Seafront Playpark, Heads of Ayr Farm Park, Rozelle Park, Ayr Equestrian Centre, Pirate Pete’s (indoor soft play), Ayr Race Course, Culzean Castle, Rozelle Park, Troon beach, Whisky Experience Ayrshire and Dumfries House Estate. There are many golf courses within a 10-20 minute drive, including the world renowned Turnberry, Royal Troon GC and Old Prestwick.

We have renovated the Old Church over a number of years taking care to retain many of the original features. We are always looking for new ways to make the Old Church a fantastic venue for guests, the most recent addition being a covered area on the large south facing decking.
