Come and experience a real bush escape at Whitestar Station on our 6th generation, 1260 hectare sheep and beef farm. The Bush lodges are situated about 2kms up a gravel farm track into secluded idyllic wilderness with the sound of running streams and birdsong on your back doorstep.
Great for families, kids or anyone just wanting to get away from it all.

Fully self contained with everything you will need to relax happily
The Bush Lodges fridge, lights and most of the hot water heating are powered by water generation (maximum 1000watts). Creek runs around property.
Bring the kids for a farm/bush experience! 6 single beds in bunk form in 1 bedroom. Also room for tents). There are other houses to rent on same property.
BYO motorbikes & 4WD ($15 per bike/4WD per day) for track maintenance, horses, pets aloud ($10 1 off charge per dog) to be paid on arrival.

To get to your lodge you will travel about 2kms along a gravel farm track into the bush with 1 creek crossing. It is accessible driven carefully with a little car. On occasion I am available to drive you to your lodge if you feel unsure about driving the farm track.
Enjoy the Coromandels native bush at its best at this piece of paradise in Colville on Whitestar Station farm. A 2km, 10min drive up a gravel farm track into the serene bush.
On the farm we have a range of activities to do:
Horse Trekking
Waterfall walks
Glow-worm caves
Swimming in the streams
Rock hunting
Range top walks ( stunning 360 degree views of Hauraki Gulf and more)

I have 8 horses available for guided trips around the farm or beach ride, Beginner and experienced riders can walk, trot or gallop through fields creeks bush with fantastic views of the valley and Moehau Mountain.

1.5hrs- $75
2hrs- $90

Colville Village was a old gold mining, Kauri logging town in the late 1800 early 1900. There is a wee school with 32 students total still going strong. We also have about 6 communes still functioning with 1 still offering woofing for travelers who want to work for accommodation. Sheep and beef farming is still very popular in Colville with lots of generations of family farms still running.

I grew up on the family farm, our family originated here from Wales in 1864 and have been farming here for 6 generations, I left for travel and work over the years and came back 13 yrs ago and bought the horse trekking business from my Mum, since then i have just taken over management of the Bush lodges which have been running for 20yrs by my mother also. Its a family run business and I have a love of hospitality and people.

5 mins drive from main entrance is the Colville shop (sells everything from ice, bait, petrol, alcohol), The Colville Café, Art Galleries, Hereford and a Pickle farm shop ,Local produce meat, baking and coffee. Also a Post office and Tennis courts.
Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is 30 mins north east of Colville in Port Charles its a Bar, restaurant and offers Bush Spas and Massage.
10mins drive to boat ramp for boat fishing or try your luck rock fishing anywhere on the coast of northern Colville
Also Manuka and Bush blend honey available for sale at the main entrance ( all produced on Whitestar farm by happy bees.)
