2 story, 3 bed, 1.5 bath, 1000 sq-ft house built in 1921 with off-street parking for 1 or 2 small cars.
The house was built in 1921 and is still mostly original. Walls, ceilings, and floors have been patched and painted many times over the years.
Walking distance to most Portland attractions including Back Cove (.5 mile), Deering Oaks Park (.25 mile), Portland's Arts district (.75 miles) and Portland's Old Port Area (1.5 miles). Literally feet to the University of Southern Maine Campus.

Martha and I call this our guest house since it shares a driveway with the main house where we live.
Hardwood floors downstairs (maple and red birch). Painted softwood floors upstairs. The upstairs floors are old painted softwood and are rough in places, be careful if you go barefoot.
The house was built in 1921 and is still mostly original. USM (University of Southern Maine) was using the house as an American Studies building for many years until Martha and I purchased the building from them in 2016. We converted the building from offices back into a house. There is still signage that indicates a USM affiliation visible in places. The walls, ceilings, and floors have been patched and painted many times over the years. There is cracked paint and peeling wall paper in places. Please set your expectations accordingly. If you are looking for modern or like new accommodations you should book with another host.
TV is Netflix only and is slow to start up, give it time.
The only room in the house that is air conditioned is the master bedroom.
The two smaller bedrooms have fans only, no air conditioners. These rooms can be uncomfortable to sleep in on hot summer days.
The radiators are steam and get very hot in the winter. Do not touch them or change the valves in any way.
Steep narrow stairs from 1st to 2nd floor. If you have trouble with stairs this unit is not for you.
Washer, dryer, and thermostat are in the downstairs 1/2 bath.
All mattresses are memory foam.
Small fenced in back yard.
