The steep roofs, high ceilings, intricate exterior paint details, and hard wood floors offer a first-hand glimpse at the handmade quality and timeless craftsmanship of the late 1800’s.
The private “guest room” is situated up the banister stairwell on the second floor and features a new Queen size mattress with a Tempurpedic foam cover, freshly cleaned and high quality linens. Open the hand-crafted oak armoire to reveal a wide-screen TV with AppleTV or kick back with a book on the chaise. The draperies are light and noise blocking, and there is a white noise machine to block urban noise.
The private bathroom is just down the hall from the guest room The accommodation is outfitted with freshly cleaned towels and a variety of amenities, including a clothes steamer and shoe shiner. A kitchenette with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, water cooler, small table and chairs is located down the hall. There is also a desk for guests' use.
The parlour features a 9’ original handcrafted table that was salvaged from Carnegie Library. This highly versatile space can accommodate a variety of needs, from professional business meetings to candle-lit dinners. Please inquire directly if you happen to have interest in using this room for business or event purposes and it can be made available at a reasonable rate.
In the short-term, the Airbnb accommodation is currently offered as a “private room” with select portions of the property currently available to our friendly Airbnb guests. During business hours, a portion of the property may continue to be used as a private (not open to the public) business office between 10:00am – 6:00pm making the Airbnb portion of the property 100% private to our guests during non-business hours. The 2nd floor guest bedroom bathroom and kitcheonette will be kept 100% private and exclusive to your needs at all times.
The property is within walking distance to the Schnitzer Concert Hall, the Performing Arts Center, the Gerding Theatre in the Pearl, and Jeldwen Field where the Portland Timbers and Thorns play soccer.
Check in is 2:00 pm and check out is 10:00 a.m. The guest will be provided with their private entry code to the keyless entry. This is a non-smoking property.
