This quaint studio is situated on a hobby farm set on the slopes of Sutton Forest just an hour and a half from both Sydney and Canberra. Decorated in a rustic country style this little hideaway has everything you need for a Southern Highlands get away. Wander around the property and enjoy the orchard, dams, chickens, hills and expansive gardens.

The space is a rustically decorated studio with kitchenette, complete with small refrigerator, toaster, electric jug and small sink. Coffee and tea are provided as well as fruit and bread, butter and jam for breakfast. Wi-Fi access available on request.

Sutton Forest is a small country hamlet with a local pub, cafe, fruit and vegetable store and antique shop.
A short drive will take you to the quaint towns of Exeter, Moss Vale, Bowral, Burrawang, Robertson and Mittagong where you’ll find an abundance of cafes, wineries, restaurants and shops.
Well recognised wineries in the Sutton Forest area include Southern Highlands Winery, with its Italian inspired restaurant. This is conveniently located at the beginning of Oldbury Rd, only 3 kms from Farenden. A little further away, but still handy to Sutton Forest, there’s Cherry Tree Hill Vineyard, Eling Forest Winery, St Mair Wines, Sally’s Corner Wines, Cuttaway Hill Wines and Sutton Forest Estate Wines.
Renowned local restaurants include Katers, Sutton Forest, only 7 minutes drive away, Birch, Moss Vale, 9 minutes away, and in Berrima, 20 minutes drive away, there’s Josh’s and the hatted Eschalott. All well worth trying.
If gardens are your interest there is the stunning Red Cow Farm in Sutton Forest, open spring, summer and Autumn.
Bush walking is a favourite activity with the locals and there are endless walking tracks in the area. Some long, some short. Some are in National Parks and State Forests, others take you along the Wingecarribee River and to the top of Mt Gibraltar and to other land marks. Something to think about doing while visiting the area.

Becoming an AirBnB host so I can share my beautiful highlands home with visitors to the area. My chickens, sheep, dog (Leuca) and the occasional echidna all love Farenden as much as I do.
