Breakers is ideal for couples and solo adventurers looking for a quiet, comfortable and restful stay in a quiet court in seaside Ocean Grove. Freshly painted and immaculately presented, your private studio is self-contained with entry area, Queen size bed, high quality linen and lush towels, newly appointed ensuite shower, separate toilet and basin, and a separate entrance from my home.
I am more than happy to offer any suggestions to Breakers' guests to experience Ocean Grove like a local.

This homely and warm studio style room consists of an entry area with separate shower and toilet with hand basin. Through the next door is your bedsitter; a beautiful medium sized room which contains your comfortable Queen size bed with lofty pillows and well-appointed side tables with reading lamps.
Two large semi reclining arm chairs can be oriented in a variety of positions to suit your needs, and Breakers has all the key facilities you will need including reverse-cycle Air Conditioning, flat screen TV, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, microwave, crockery and cutlery, plus tea and coffee. A self serve Continental breakfast including cereals, bread, butter, spreads, yoghurt, milk, tea and coffee is provided. You will have access to a covered west facing veranda area as well as a north facing deck and garden area with barbeque available (shared area).
PLEASE NOTE: There is no separate kitchen available for meal preparation at Breakers.

Breakers is close to Blue Waters Lake which is teeming with bird life including ducks, water hens and sometimes pelicans, all less than 5min walk away. There is a lovely walking track around the lake which can be enjoyed all year round.
My place is also close to the famed Ocean Grove Surf Beach (1.8km:5min drive/30-40min walk ), which is fully patrolled over the summer months, the Barwon River (10min walk to the boat ramp) where you can go for a leisurely stroll or bike ride, throw in a fishing line or have a round of golf on the 9 hole course.

Local restaurants and cafe's abound in the main street of Ocean Grove (1.8km away: 5min drive/30-40min uphill walk), including Chinese, Indian, Mexican and Italian cuisines, excellent bakeries and take away food shops. Alternatively the local Bowling Club and Golf Club (10min walk/3min drive) offer great a la carte menus. Across the Barwon Bridge is the quaint village of Barwon Heads which boasts great restaurants and excellent shopping as well as golf courses and 13th Beach surf beach for more advanced surfers. Further on are the towns of Torquay - home of Bells Beach and the official start of the Great Ocean Road, followed by Anglesea and attractions close by.

In the opposite direction you'll find the gorgeous towns of Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff where you can board the Peninsula ferry to travel to Sorrento and explore the East Coast. Our region also boasts excellent wineries, gourmet food trails, music festivals, world class golf courses, local markets, seasonal PYO apples and strawberries, horseriding venues, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding lessons, skindiving, sealife/boating experiences, skydiving/Tiger Moth flights and Adventure Park for those looking for action-packed escapes.
