Perfect position. Complete privacy in your own large, treed garden. Ideal weekend getaway/longer holiday for couples, 'digital nomads' , solo adventurers, small families (double sleeper couch for 2 children), or simply peace & quiet to finish writing that book....! A 2 min walk to the Kariega River, slipway & lagoon & 5 mins to the Kariega Blue Flag Beach. A 5 min stroll from here to the village centre. Has WiFi (uncapped) plus Premier DSTV.
お部屋
This is a quirky, revamped one bedroom garden cottage, with a lovely sunny kitchen and separate lounge with French doors opening onto its own small patio and large private treed garden. Benches and table under the paved guava tree area with a Weber Braai/cooker. There is also has a small private garden area outside the cottage kitchen. In my garden I have an outdoor braai/barbecue area, which you are most welcome to use if preferred to Weber, except in December/January and April when my family/ friends may be here. Access by prior arrangement during that time. There is a lockable area outside the back door where you can store surfboards, bicycles etc. The main house is one of the original houses in the village - nearly 100 years old. Cottage has its own private entrance, is set back from the road, with off street parking up the side of my house, on grassed pavement, or up my driveway by prior arrangement.

Kenton-on-Sea、Eastern Cape、南アフリカ
Kenton-on-Sea, often called 'the village between two rivers' is unique in that it is off the main coastal road with 2 rivers- Kariega & Bushmans- as 'boundaries' with the pristine beachfront and Joan Muirhead Nature Reserve connecting them. Kariega Beach has international Blue Flag status and Middle Beach pilot Blue Flag status. There is easy access to all shops, a number of eateries and coffee shops, as well as an art gallery, craft and bookshop. Safe swimming, rock pools, hikes, township tours, bird watching, mountain-biking, horse & canoe trails, boat trips, fishing, dune boarding, surfing & kite-surfing. You can also enjoy the best of the bush at the Sibuya Game Reserve, one hour up river in their boat. Addo Elephant Park (which has the Big 7) is a popular day trip. The Marine Section of the Park extends up the coast from Woody Cape (nr. Alexandria) to Cannon Rocks, a 10 minute drive from here. The Alexandria Dune-fields begin here extending to Colchester/Sundays River near Port Elizabeth. These are the fastest shifting dune-fields in the S. Hemisphere and visible from outer space. Bucket list for many!

I live with my small friendly dog (Yorkie) Moya 10 years old and new 'rescue' puppy Charlie. We enjoy the sea, sand and sun downers at the beach with friends. Love music - opera/ classical and 'old time' jazz. Reading biographical books, historical/true life and human interest stories plus mystery/detective novels. Entertainment here is mostly TV - programs similar to what I read, news local and world as I need to keep informed, sport from tennis - F1 Grand Prix and in-between, but not wrestling :) Love travelling lesser known routes and safaris, but Cape Town and environs for a culture 'fix' -theater, dance, music etc. I've been in the tourism industry for many years and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, sharing the attractions in this area with interested visitors. As a passionate cultural tour guide I can steer you in the right direction, whatever your particular interests are. Would love to help you to discover what the area has to offer and tell you about what is happening at any given time. Advice on your onward travels in this area, the Eastern Cape in particular and the country as a whole is also available. That said, I'm very happy to leave you to your own devices too!
