Stony Rise House is a large gracious family home set on 2.5 acres on the fringe of town. We are close to Devonport City Centre and the Spirit of Tasmania wharf. The local airport is another 7 minutes away and
1. Rooms are located in the main house and share a bathroom.
2. Breakfast is an optional extra.
2. Parking is on-site and plentiful.
3. Wi-Fi is free.
4. Free tea/coffee is available in each room.
5. Cooking facilities are not available.

Five bedrooms offer a choice of the Oak Room with a queen bed, Blue Spruce Room with a queen bed, Chestnut Room with a queen and a single bed, the Willow Room with three single beds and the Waratah Room with a queen bed.
Please note this is not a listing for an entire house. We charge for 2 persons in one room. Rooms sleeping 3 persons are charged at the room rate for 2 persons + an extra person charge in the same room. Rates may vary in peak periods.
Breakfast is available but is not included in room tariff.
Each room has a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Property backs onto highway and so there is sometimes some vehicle noise. Outside, there is 2.5 acres of lawns and gardens for our guests to enjoy.

Access is via the driveway which leads to a roundabout at the front of the house. Come to the reception where you will be greeted and shown to your room. Guests have their own private entrance. Parking is plentiful.

If you would like to occupy a room with fewer guests than two (as below), the price for the room will be set as though the room was occupied by two persons: -
- Oak Room: Queen bed, sleeps two.
- Blue Spruce Room : Queen bed, sleeps two.
- Waratah Room : Queen bed, sleeps two.
- Chestnut Room: Queen bed and single bed, sleeps three.
- Willow Room: Three single beds, sleeps three.
For example, if you would like to occupy the Oak Room and Willow Room, you will be charged a minimum of four guests per night, even if you have fewer than four in your party. Bookings for three guests will be accommodated in the Chestnut Room or Willow Room unless other arrangements are made.

The House is situated on the fringe of Devonport in a semi rural setting. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, hotels and take-away food outlets within a short drive. My wife, Fifi and I, run Stony Rise Cottage and we welcome Airbnb guests. It is a character home located on two and a half acres of meandering lawns. We are a semi-retired couple who live here with our devoted dog, Sorcha. We have our daughter and three grandchildren living close by so guests may meet them from time to time. Our accommodation is child friendly. Guests will enter the property via an entrance driveway and parking is immediately in front of you in the guest parking spaces adjacent to the house. Fifi and I have a background in business and we decided that a small business where we could meet people would be really enjoyable.
