We will meet on the beach on calle 6 in Playa del Carmen center, at a restaurant named Fusion Beach Bar Cuisine (where Aloha Paddle Club is operating from). Here you can store your belongings and there is a bathroom available. You will be given a basic introduction to standup paddleboarding if you have never done it before. After this instruction we go together with the other participants (club members, locals) on the sea with our boards to paddle towards a (hopefully beautiful) rising sun. You will be accompanied by either me or one of the other awesome guides, so as a first timer especially you don't need to worry about safety. Depending on the weather there is a change to swim, sometimes we'll see wild life like dolphins or turtles. But whatever the circumstances, it will always be an unforgettable experience. After the Sunrise Sessionthere is a chance to shower and order breakfast at Fusion if you want (not included). You get 15% discount with a bill more than 200 pesos if you come with us. We will take, edit and share photos we take of you free of extra charge!
Ilse & Sander
Hi I'm Sander, a former IT consultant and hotel manager from The Netherlands. I changed my life in Amsterdam for the more laidback lifestyle in Mexico 7 years ago. 4 years ago I added Ilse to the team and to my life and we have a beautiful little surf baby together. I am a certified Yoga teacher, certified dive master, freediver and paddleboad instructor and love everything related to water, nature and the sea. I am founder and owner of Aloha Paddle Club, Playa del Carmen's number one spot for paddleboarding and surfing and newly adding wind surfing, scuba diving, freediving and sailing as well at the brand new Aloha Water Sports Club.
Paddleboard, leash and paddle
Aloha Paddle Club is Playa del Carmen's biggest community of water sports lovers and we are operating from Fusion Beach Bar Cuisine on calle 6 with the beach. It is a laidback, authentic beach bar and restaurant withbreakfast lunch and dinner, sunbeds, massage and live music in the afternoon and a fire show at night. The sea in front is great for all kinds of water sports like standup paddleboarding and surfing if we're lucky enough to have waves
Early morning there is not really need for sunblock. if you feel you need it, please use eco friendly or reef safe sunblock. The best sun protection is a cap or hat and a shirt or a long sleeve. It's best to wear cheap sunglasses, you might lose them :)
