We will meet at Folsom lake, which is a state park, and walk a short distance (5-10 mins) to be near the water, surrounded by nature. We will practice a form of meditation that incorporates Reiki (a form of energy healing, of which I will give a brief introduction), mindfulness, guided imagery, and nature awareness. This practice is a blend of silent and guided meditation, which will allow us to focus on the rhythms and sounds of nature, our own breath, and our connection to nature. I will show you how to let nature "bathe" you in healing energies, and how to share healing intentions with nature. My intention is that this experience will be inspiring and will allow each participant to not only tap into and benefit from the healing energy (which is present everywhere, and even more easily attuned to in nature), but also become aware of their own innate power to generate this energy, and share it with others. Hello, I am a certified Reiki Master and have developed my own energy healing method called Intuitive Energy Balancing. I've been offering my services in my private wellness arts practice for a decade. Having attended many meditation and wellness retreats over the past 30 years, including a 10-day silent Zen retreat, has allowed me to develop an in depth understanding of various modalities of both meditation and wellness practices. I've blended facets of all the things that have enlivened me and created an experience that is a combination of Reiki, mindfulness meditation, guided imagery and nature healing. I am passionate about energy healing, meditation and the healing power of nature, and I enjoy sharing this with others.
We will meet at Folsom lake (which is a state park). You may either pay and park at the lake, or avoid the fee by parking nearby and walking less than 1/4 of a mile. I will provide parking details to each participant once signed up.
Please bring a blanket, towel or yoga mat for sitting on the ground. Or if you prefer, bring a folding chair. Wear comfortable shoes for walking to our spot. * I will give a brief introduction about what Reiki is, but please note this is a meditation experience not a Reiki class.
