We shall spend 3 hours together in Munich discussing the early events that ultimately led to that rise of National Socialsm, Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. Munich was the birthplace of the Nazi Party with Hitler naming it the ‘Capital of the movement’. We shall cover many topics from the late 1800s until the dawn of WW2. I split the tour into two sections. The first hour focusing on origins and understanding of symbolism, ideology, Jewish hatred, propaganda and destruction in Munich. The next two hours focus on the chronological life story of Adolf Hitler from Birth until he becomes the Chancellor of Germany in 1933. We shall also talk about a few events that happened in Munich during the 1930s and how WW2 started. I’ll share a lot of photos, pictures and extra interesting facts throughout the tour. In winter there are plenty of places to be indoors, we always take a short 15 minute break in the middle and at the end of the tour I will give you a sheet of book recommendations for further reading. I will also share my family connection to this part of history so you understand why I do these types of tours and why it means so much to me to teach others about this topic. Note: If the date you want is not on my calendar please send me a date request, no matter how far ahead in the future. I look forward to meeting you soon! Jax
Hi! My name is Jax and I‘m a British expat living in Munich for the past 4 years with my wonderful German wife who I met 7 years ago in London, UK. I became a tour guide once arriving and fell in love with the job so have been doing this type of work, full time for the past 3 years now. I currently work for two of the best tour agencies in Munich as a freelancer and in January 2019 I started my own private tour guide business ‘Experience Munich Tours’. I already have over 200 five star reviews all over TripAdvisor, google, get your guide, Viator and other platforms. Look me up! I would say that my style of tour guiding is interactive, passionate, concise, clear spoken, fun, inclusive and at times theatrical. I always bring my IPad on the tour to share lots of photos and pictures to help the history come alive.

We will be walking around the old city, which in itself is a nice experience so bring a camera. I will make sure at the end of the tours you have some nice recommendations for food and beer as well. I'm always happy to answer non tour related questions as well.
