You are welcome to my jewellery studio to learn how to make a sterling silver ring from scratch. It is easy and fun and accessible for complete beginner. You will learn how to measure the right length of the silver material. Then we will form the ring shape which will then be soldered together. Final step will be to use hammers and mallets to form your ring into nice round shape and create a texture. You will have a choice of different finishes, textures and punches. You can go crazy with hammers and try various patterns or even emboss a little message on your ring with a letter punches! The final finish would be up to you and your imagination but I will have some samples there for your inspiration. At the end of the class you would have a beautiful silver ring you made as a nice memory of your stay in Edinburgh. We will be using Eco recycled silver in this workshop. Eco silver is an eco-friendly alternative which is manufactured using recycled silver from the jewellery, giftwarey, medical and electronic industries, meaning it is 100% recycled, traceable and audited.
