Want to see London's biggest Harry Potter sights in under two hours, learn little-known HP facts, AND test your HP knowledge at the same time? Then this tour is for you. As with all first years, we'll start the tour by sorting you into houses with a quick quiz at the iconic Millennium Bridge. We'll then visit London's best and most-famous markets to prepare ourselves for a mind-blowing session of magic and wizardry. They may not sell Skiving Snackboxes or Fizzing Whizbees, but these markets make food to rival that of Hogwart's House-elves. Next, we'll lead you through London's famous and lesser-known streets to see a host of magical sights from the books and films, including the Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. We promise you, the facts we reveal about Harry Potter will leave you desperate to put your memories into a Pensieve. Finally, we'll visit the site of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and explore the MinaLima gallery and shop, which contains REAL props from the HP films. And best of all? There will be quiz rounds all throughout the tour for hardcore HP fans. Could you win the Goblet of Fire?
Hiya! I'm Beth and I work for Child.org, an international development charity working with mums and children to lift their communities out of poverty. We run these awesome Harry Potter tours to fund our projects in Kenya and Sierra Leone, so we are really excited that you want to apparate (we wish) to London's coolest Harry Potter sights with us. I absolutely love meeting new people from around the world and chatting about all things Harry Potter, so if you're looking for a bubbly guide to give you a personal experience then I'm your muggle! I always look forward for going for a drink after the tour with my fellow Potterheads, even if it's to discuss other great places you can visit in London to get the 'Londoner's experience'. Please let me know if there is a specific date you want to come and I'll do my best to accommodate you :)
Child.org LOVE creating awesome experiences with Potter fans, because our values are so closely aligned. “It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!” - Albus Dumbledore Child.org believe that every child, wherever they are born, should have the opportunity to live life to the fullest. Our work breaks down the barriers faced by children born into extreme poverty.
We will visit a series of truly magical places from the Palace Theatre to Millennium Bridge, including (to name some major London landmarks and local haunts): Downing Street, Borough Market, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster. AND you'll get the chance to visit the Mina Lima shop, (which is like the Harry Potter shop at Charing Cross but for hardcore Potter fans) to see incredible graphic props from the franchise by their official design studio.
Please bring a topped up Oyster card as we will be taking two short tube journeys. This tour will involve 90 minutes of walking. Wear suitable shoes and come prepared for the weather!
