Experiencing a one day yoga retreat is a wonderful alternative to a full weekend retreat. Taking a day out of your normal routine, away from all your responsibilities, can be so nourishing. Sometimes a day is all we need to reconnect and replenish ourselves. Autumn is the season for introspection. As the days grow shorter, we spend more time indoors, resting and recuperating. We follow our natural biological rhythm to hibernate and stay warm. Kalindi Yoga is offering this retreat as a way for you to unwind, find stillness and listen to that voice deep within. Our mind chatter covers up our inherent ability to be still but it is among the stillness within where we find our inspiration and understanding. Our aim is to provide a space for you to seek clarity of mind, connect deeply with your soul and to listen to what you truly need as we approach another year. The schedule for the day is: 10am - arrival with tea 10.15am-12.15pm - yoga class (including mantras, pranayama, readings from yogic texts and relaxation) 12.15-12.30pm - tea break 12.30-1.45pm - vegetarian lunch cooked by trained holistic chef 1.45-3.30pm - silent autumn walk in Laurel Farm’s woodland 3.30-4pm - tea break and retreat close Please note: changes may be made to this schedule depending on the weather.
Kat is a full-time yoga teacher with years of experience. Her focus within each class is on using breath awareness and alignment to ensure safe practice. She incorporates ROM (range of movement) exercises into her classes to help her students gain mobility, not just flexibility, and encourages intuitive movement. She believes real yoga is about listening to your own body - not forcing yourself to achieve a ‘shape’ your body is not yet ready for. Kat will always ensure you are safe but she doesn’t expect you to follow blindly. Yoga is your journey. You must feel, you must connect to your own body to get the benefits this beautiful practice can bring. Kalindi brings an authentic yet modern approach to her classes. Expect Sanskrit mantras, modern yoga warm ups and strengthening exercises and traditional yoga postures.
Vegetarian lunch included. Other dietary requirements can also be catered for.
Tea (herbal and caffeinated) available throughout the day along with water.
All yoga mats, blankets, blocks and belts provided. Feel free to bring your own mat if you'd prefer!
The yoga classes will be held in the Temple at Laurel farm. The Temple provides a calm space for reflection; it is flooded with natural light and the sounds of nature. The Temple sits amongst the farm’s beautiful seven acre small holding which we will also be walking around in the afternoon.

This one day yoga retreat is for anyone wanting to experience some calm and tranquility in the countryside. Some experience of practising yoga is advised due to sun salutations being included in the practice.
