This is a small group (max 6 guests) 2.5 hour Walking Tour through Belfast City during which you will visit 4 pubs rich in history. With a good selection of pubs to choose from you will be taken back in time through these authentic historical places. As we walk between pubs along our oldest streets I will also share some local history about the rise of Belfast as an Industrial powerhouse though to the modern day. You will have the opportunity to have a drink in each pub and experience their unique character, warmth and authenticity as Belfast Historical Pubs. This Tour is particularly suited to Solo Travelers, female Travelers and those who want an environmentally low impact Experience.
I have been living and socialising in Belfast for over 25+ years and I'm very familiar with the best historical pubs/bars this City has to offer. I will be taking you off the beaten track through some of Belfast's oldest streets to bars which reach back into Belfast's early history. I am passionate about visitors seeing an alternative side of Belfast. Being able to share these unique and lesser known bars, their history and character with others brings me huge satisfaction; these bars and areas are rich in history, which I will share with you. I am also a seasoned guide with 5+ years experience of walking people around Belfast. I'm relaxed, easy going and will try to make sure you have a unique and memorable time as we pass through the City, along some of it's oldest streets and enjoy some lesser known bars and their history.
We will visit 4 pubs from the list below: Bittles Bar - iconic flat iron shape in the heart of Belfast. Jailhouse Bar - sensitive restoration of one of Belfast's most historical buildings (the Entries). Whites Tavern - the oldest surviving bar in Belfast since 1630. McHughs - Belfast's oldest surviving building in Custom House Sq. Kellys Cellars - the longest continuous running pub in Belfast The Morning Star - Victorian pub in the Entries.
While this is a historical pub tour you are not required or expected to drink during it. Given the 2.5 hour time frame in which the Tour takes places stops at the bars will be relatively brief but comfortable.
