My name is Fiorina, I am 37 years old, married with 2 children Vincenzo 4 years old, Leonardo of two. I grew up among vineyards and bottles of wine and now I work in the family business, Cantine Apicella. After having studied and improved my wine knowledge I got involved in the company, the reception for tourists with food and wine tours, ranging from a visit to vineyard, explaining the production process and ending with a guided tasting of our wines with typical local products. A good wine tells the history of a territory .... the constant work in the cellar and the course as a sommelier taught me respect for my territory, for the raw material and to appreciate what is good and beautiful.I live in Tramonti between historic pre-phylloxera vines, and centuries-old chestnut trees, in a green valley, where tranquility is at home.
our tour starts with the discovery of the family's historic vineyards pre-phylloxera. A'Scippata, planted by my tris grandfather in 1933 with Tintore grapes, a typical variety present exclusively in our village. Imposing unique and magical grapevine trees intertwine on chestnut piles to give an intense and impenetrable red fruit. after we'll visit the wine-making area and the barrel cellar where the wine lies for a few years.
