Puerto Vallarta's natural beauty is one of the first things that catches the attention of any visitor. With this experience, you will get to see firsthand the jungles, beaches and waterfalls off the beaten track that many tourists never see. You will also have the chance to drink up the warm Mexican sun, breath fresh sea air, and move your body with a Yoga practice tailored just to you, your level and your body's mobility. We will start between 9 - 10 am having a fresh squeezed juice at a local juice stand. From there we hop on the bus and head to the first destination: Boca de Tomatlán. From this small fishing town, we will hop a water taxi to a secluded beach where we will practice Hatha, Yin or Vinyasa (depending on your practice) yoga before it gets too hot. From there we hike along the coast to get lunch at a local strip of thatched roof restaurants accessible only by boat or a hike. Here we can relax on the beach, get in some sun, snack and drink - you can have your smoothie or margarita or whatever you would most enjoy. We head back in the water taxi to Boca de Tomatlán, where we return in the bus once again to downtown Vallarta, where you can grab dinner and a great sunset.
The costs of the round-trip bus ride and boat ride are included in the cost of the experience. They are both part of our…

After struggling to find a diet that made me feel healthy and happy, I finally discovered Ayurveda, ancient India's art of healing your mind, body and spirit through connection to nature. This led me to becoming an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Yoga Teacher and Chakra Therapist. Having left the United States to settle down in Puerto Vallarta, I get to live out my love and passion for Mexico's people, culture, food, history and natural wonders! I also founded Ayurvedic Activism, with the vision that if we can transform our approach to health by coming home to our bodies and our true nature, while cultivating a deeper connection to our food and our environment, we can change the world. I believe that movement, food and breath enjoyed in nature plant the seeds of change in each of us. I now hope to share this with more visitors to Vallarta!
You will start in downtown Vallarta, where will will take a bus to the small fishing village of Boca de Tomatlán. Here we grab a water taxi (with stunning views of the bay and mountains!) to a secluded beach where you will get to practice yoga under palm trees steps away from the Pacific ocean. A small walk will take us to a beach accessible only by boat or hiking, where we enjoy lunch with feet in the sand. We sunbathe, swim and head back!
Even if you are totally new to yoga, this experience could be a great way to fall in love with it! I have training and experience working with beginners to yoga. Just have fun & enjoy the ride!
