Firstly we decide before you arrive what you would like to make. Individuals usually make a silver ring, earrings or pendant, and couples will often make each others rings. When you arrive we discuss your design style, any safety measures and the process. Under my guidance you then roll the metal down to the width and thickness you prefer. You then bend the metal up and solder it together with a jewellers torch if you are making a ring. The next step is to file it to shape and then sand and polish it to finish. All completed jewellery looks professional and you will be thrilled with the result.
I will provide drinks for the day and you are welcome at any time to purchase food from the deli right next door.
All equipment to make your jewellery is provided including safety equipment.
I am a Qualified Jeweller with qualified teaching experience. I facilitate workshops where individuals and couples make their own pieces of Jewellery in a day. I enjoy seeing my clients ideas and pieces come to life and them leave with a precious piece they love and have created for themselves in Byron Bay. It is an experience you will cherish, involving learning new skills and ending in a piece of Jewellery you made, that you can keep forever.
We conduct the experience in my professional workshop in Newrybar. The workshop is 15 to 20 minutes drive from central Byron bay and 6 minutes from Bangalow. I am situated next to Harvest restaurant and Deli and so you will have the pleasure of beautiful food and lovely shops to explore during your lunch break.
You complete the day with a piece of Jewellery you made yourself. The process requires concentration but is not stressful and I can take photos for you to take away with you or post to social media.
