This is a full day tour of three very scenic locations situated in the Sedona area. These locations are accessed via moderate hikes. You should be in good physical condition since our hikes involve walking on nature trails which, at times, may require some scrambling or dealing with loose rocks, but nothing dangerous or very strenuous. We will have a lunch break between the hikes when you get a chance to recharge your batteries and discuss any technical details related to photography and your experience. Should you need photography tips, I'm very happy to help making the most of your time here. The tour is designed for those with a passion for photography who want to experience some special locations in Sedona, as well as those interested to take home professional photographs -- much better than a selfie. I know some very photogenic locations along our itinerary where we can take nature portraits and we'll make good use of them. Less than a week after completing the tour, you will receive the best photos of your visit and be able to use them at full resolution; imagine yourself among the red rocks of Sedona in a big print hanging on your wall!
We'll be traveling in a comfortable SUV
I've been a landscape photographer for more than 15 years, mostly capturing the amazing nature of the American Southwest. I'm based in Arizona and I'm eager to share my knowledge and experience with anyone visiting our state and having an interest in capturing the unique nature of this land! I've been published in multiple national and international magazines, such as National Geographic, PHOENIX magazine, Hoerzu (Germany) and Times (UK), as well as frequently mentioned in local social media for my latest photos. My travels take me to all corners of Arizona, but I particularly enjoy Sedona, with its magnificent red rocks. I like merging hiking and photography as a way to better experience nature. Sure, Sedona can be seen from the roadside, but to truly discover its secrets, a good hike will take you to unique vantage points.
In the morning we hike along a side trail located along the Schnebly Hill Road, which will take us to superb views of Sedona, as well as a little-known natural arch. In the afternoon we visit a location along Oak Creek, which affords some of the best views of Cathedral Rock. Late afternoon we'll hike up near one of the tallest buttes in Sedona, which has some of the best vantage points for capturing the sunset in Sedona
