We will walk along the streets of Buenos Aires, from Puerto Madero to Plaza de Mayo going through the life and story of different women who played a very significant role in the achievement and expansion of rights towards gender equality. Through parks, streets and monuments, we invite you to travel towards the end of the 19th century with the first feminists. Then, with unique games, trivia and anecdotes, we will take you to explore the history of the women's movement to this day. We will go through emblematic places and see, through images, how they looked decades ago. We will share material for you to understand better each of the stories. At the end of the tour, we will take a short break and we'll drink mate, the traditional Argentine drink, and we will teach you how to prepare it, telling you the secrets of two professionals. Also, we will take a public transportation for a short stretch so you can learn to travel in the city. Important: - accessible tour (can be done with baby strollers and / or wheelchairs) - Men are super invited to participate! - in the NIGHT TOUR, we will finish in Costanera, by the lake, where it's possible to have a typical argentinian street food, "choripan" -pork sausage- and some chips --> OPTIONAL (not included in the price)
We are Lucia and Leticia, journalists who have been working to build feminism in the City of Buenos Aires and disseminating the different proposals of the women's movement to create links with the whole society for years. We have participated in activities related to feminism in different parts of the world and believe that it is necessary to connect all these experiences to build a fair and egalitarian world. Leticia has a degree in Communication Science. She wrote articles and participated in mass media and community radio shows. She is a part of different Education teams with a gender perspective, training adolescents and adults. Lucia is a journalist and photographer. She has worked in several places in the world where she met different feminist experiences. She leads a radio show entirely made by women on a community radio

We'll start our tour next to an emblematic building and then walk through streets, monuments and points of interest in Puerto Madero, getting to know the newest neighborhood in the city at the same time. After stopping at representative places in the history of the women's movement in Argentina and Latin America, we will reach Plaza de Mayo, scene of the main debates and struggles around the extension of rights.
