The Belfast Gin and Spirits School is the brain child of Master Distiller Ian and Beverage Director Soda. It offers a unique experience nestled in a speakeasy in Belfast City Centre. Through experiential learning, a range of spirit schools are on offer including Gin, Whiskey, Rum and Calvados, as well as Master Distilling Classes, Afternoon Teas and corporate events, which all include the consumption of bespoke cocktails. Beverage Director Soda says, "this is a first of a kind behind the veil school; where we strip away the pretence and illustrations of distilling while illustrating and explaining the process in which some of our favourite tipples were created." No matter what class you choose to attend, Master Distiller Ian will engage you with a hands on approach to distilling. Using a column still, he will demonstrate how spirits are produced at 96% proof. If you choose a gin class you will get to blend a miniature bottle of your own recipe gin. We also offer afternoon tea classes. All classes include 3 signature serve cocktails created from pre and post prohibition recipes using cutting edge techniques originated by Soda.
The Belfast Gin and Spirits School is set in a truly vintage surrounding in the heart of Belfast at Fouriers Blaklist. It offers you the opportunity to see the first spirits distilled in Belfast in the 21st Century. Immerse yourself in a unique experiential learning by distilling spirit and blending your own miniature bottle of gin (if you choose that class) all while sipping on three bespoke cocktails.
Cupcakes, Parmesan shortbread and other nibbles will be provided. Afternoon tea and canapé menus are available upon request…
Three signature serve cocktails will be served
All our classes are hosted in Fouriers Blaklist, a vintage speakeasy nestled in the heart of Belfast. You will enjoy the quirky and cosy atmosphere while learning about and drinking spirits.
