We'll pedal through historical neighborhoods of the city and witness its stretching in time. You'll spot the real face of Barcelona behind all of its major landmarks, like its Gothic neighborhood, the Medieval district of "el Born", an eye-catchy lady in gold immersed in the Citadel Park, its Olympic Village and Port and the picturesque Barceloneta. Through all of your senses you will discover what now arty-crafty alleys used to be back in the Middle Ages and you'll be constantly triggered by the secrets hidden under Barcelona's streets, behind its walls. You will be actively involved in discovering all this, the history of the city nested in unexpected places. We'll be diving back in time comfortably riding through streets, bike lanes, parks and waterfront. You'll grasp in an eye-blink how its skin changes. Ready to see how the city breathes and beats?
I've always chased for a place called home from North to South, East to West. So much that friends and family started calling me the "Mediterranean whirligig", for I've been living this sea from edge to edge, literally. I've turned into a language freak through the years, of course, and a deep admirer of Barcelona, where a very personal connection brought me to. I've blended my passion for history and histories with my personal passion for the city, her people and rich culture: I'm a certified licensed guide but I'm above all a proud Barcelonian and along this experience I'll unveil the most unexpected facets, beauties and oddities of this wise and resilient city. We'll stay away from the stereotypical spots: you'll learn to sense Barcelona and I'll be delighted to transmit her blessed beauty and vibrant, charming power to all of you.
Bikes After biking we'll have coffee/beer/soft drink. Sun and breeze hosted by Barcelona. Smile granted by me!+good local…
We'll start from the Gothic quarter, the heart of the city and get "lost" in the medieval maze of the Born district. You'll unfold BCN's history from its Citadel Park, Olympic Port and its sandy beaches until crossing the surrounding Barceloneta's old fishermen neighborhood. Then, back to origins, where our story-telling started among silent and wise Roman ruins.
