I love to hike and walk in nature and over the years I've walked most of the South West Coastal path as well as the Pembrokshire coastal path. This hike is my sanctuary and saviour in South Bristol and I'd love to share the experience with visitors. I've also lead some friends and my partner on the Northern Camino and I've walked the coast paths from the the corner of Northern Spain to the end of Austrias...twice. I can offer guidance and support on a very achievable yet wonderful adventure. There is also the possibility of doing this experience on bikes using the city bike rental scheme. Please message me if this interests you.
This hike will take you to a unique and unusual perspective of iconic Bristol places. You will view the bridge from underneath as well as walk over it; experiencing a perspective not often seen by tourists. You will find a hidden ecology and green oasis in the nature reserve of Leigh Woods. Hopefully, glimpse some wild deer in Ashton Court and finish with a drink on a secret panoramic terrace overlooking the gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge.
You will need comfortable shoes and sensible clothing that is suited to a walk. A water bottle would be a good idea.
