I am a nature enthusiast and outdoorsy who has lived in this area for over 25 years. I have witnessed how the park has developed over the past 10 years including many restoration projects after the impact of WWII The route that I have put together is a result of my main passions: hiking, Nordic walking and studying local history. I have got a formal education at the Catherine’s palace, but apart from the official history I am sharing stories that were passed from generation to generation. Another passion of mine is food. So, usually after the tour we grab a light lunch or coffee at the nearby cafes. My tour is available in 2 languages: Russian and English. Russian by birth but I am married to an Englishman. We live in Pushkin and work in St.Petersbrg and often have a lot to share about expat life in Russia.
If everyone is available, a light lunch/coffee can be arranged after. Lunch usually takes place at the cafe which serves only…
In addition, each guest will need to buy: entrance ticket to the park (150 rubles pp, children under 16 - for free); ticket…
Taxi to the starting point can be arranged by request (usually cheaper than through the hotel reception)
Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) is situated 25 km from St.Petersburg. Tourists often come here to visit Catherine's palace and see the Amber room. We will pay respect to this tradition and of course spend some time talking about the exterior of the palace, but we will explore the park in more detail and take the local pathways.
It will only take about 30 minutes by taxi to travel from the city centre to Pushkin. Children under 10 can attend the tour for free.
