体験できること
We go off trail, with minimal disturbance. As we proceed through the hike we discuss the flora & fauna, geology, presence of dinosaurs, native history of the area, modern history of man in the area 90 - 100 years ago. We travel through historical places, as we share the human stories of those who walked their before us. The stories of those who built Hoover Dam and their families who lived in shacks in the desert, are an important foundation to our tours, in addition to the educational aspects. We go slow, at the guests pace, in mostly uninhabited places, to deliver an experience far away from a crowded, public tour.
Other things to note
Bring your own water, in addition to our provided. Bringing healthy snacks is encouraged. Be prepared for the desert sun. Bring sun-blocking preferences. Enclosed shoes are needed - athletic or hiking

I spent my youth on the fertile lands of Northwestern Illinois. As a child I would explore the low lying floodplain of the family farm. The wildlife and natural resources there would become an important aspect of my formative years. Having spent 11 years in tourism at Lake Mead in S. Nevada, and 5 years in Alaska tourism, my passion to learn the S. Nevada natural landscape became a passion too great not to share. The human stories of those who built Hoover Dam, and those who fled St. Thomas intrigued me. I walk where they walked, and I love telling their stories...

We will go off trail along the southwestern edge of the upper shoreline of Lake Mead, in Southern Nevada. By doing so, we walk where the families of those who built Hoover Dam camped in the early 1930's. We have identified fire pits where they camped, amongst our educational hiking experience. We will do a 2.5 mile loop through the area foothills below the historic railroad bed used to build the dam.
