Join me for one of the most beautiful sunrise/morning runs on earth along the waterfront in the Marina District of San Francisco. On mostly flat terrain we will enjoy amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito and Marin as we run along Fort Mason, Marina Green and Crissy Field all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. On the way back you will be able to take in views on the city's Pacific Heights, Russian Hill and Nob Hill neighborhoods as well as the Financial District. We will then pass the Palace of Fine Arts, before we grab a post run coffee and snack at a local's favorite coffee shop. During our run, I will talk a little bit about the city, the neighborhood, it's history & architecture and what makes it special today. We will of course have some breaks to take pictures along the way, so bring your phones/cameras. I will point out the photo spots along the way that will get you views and pictures with a new perspective on the city. The whole run will be about 6 miles and requires being able to run continuously for 40-60 minutes (we will adjust the pace so that it's comfortable for everyone).
I have lived in San Francisco and the Bay Area for the past 8 years and love to explore and share the more hidden parts of San Francisco and Oakland. I'm an avid runner, having run dozens of 5Ks, 10Ks, half and full marathons over the years. Wherever I go, I love to explore places through running and want to share some of my local favorites here. As a design & architecture lover, I can't help but marvel at the amazing buildings this city has to offer and will point out the highlights to you during our run.
We will be starting at Fort Mason and then run along the waterfront to the Golden Gate Bridge and back to the Marina District. After our run we will stop for a quick coffee and breakfast/snack at a local's favorite coffee shop.
