Do you want to learn about the local language and local life in Kyoto? I will give you a fun and practical Japanese lesson in Kyoto! We will meet in front of the ticket gate at JR Nijo station and walk to a local supermarket and explore, find new things and compare it to the supermarkets in your country. There are so many kinds of Tofu, Miso, Green tea and so on! After we explore the supermarket, we will get a bottle of drink and review what you have learned at the eat-in area at the supermarket. I will also teach you some Kansai dialect which is useful and different to standard Japanese. After this lesson, I hope you understand more about the Japanese language and everyday life in Kyoto and be motivated to continue exploring Japan!
Konnichiwa! Thank you for visiting my page! I have lived in Canada and Australia, visited many countries and love discovering new things. One of the best ways to learn a language is using the language with the local people! I have been working at a hotel in Kyoto since 2016, and I realized lots of people want to learn Japanese. I also taught Japanese when I lived in Canada, and I enjoyed it a lot! From teaching Japanese, I learned that if you just sit and look at a textbook, you don’t learn much. Let’s have a fun Japanese lesson together at a local supermarket and learn useful Japanese!
