My area of Tokyo is central and we'll start in Shimokitazawa to introduce you to some amazing craft beer bars and try local as well as international craft beer. We’ll walk to three neighboring craft beer bars that offers up some snacks and a large variety of drinking options. We will then keep the crawl moving and stop for some local Japanese food and mix in a little bit of local Sake (if you choose) at a popular tachinomi (standing bar). Many of the bars and restaurants are run by locals who are contributing to the thriving atmosphere in Tokyo's craft beer scene!

Moving to Tokyo, I found the craft beer scene in it’s early stages but realized I arrived at an exciting time as the movement is growing daily! I would love to show you how to enjoy various new Japanese craft beer bars and local restaurants serving craft beer combined with amazing food or sake, and often both! I am very familiar with the Japanese beer scene and the best offerings from the breweries. I’m looking forward to sharing this with you and give you some other recommendations for drinks or dining during your visit. We’ll be visiting some much lesser known craft beer locations in Tokyo, so if you like walking off the beaten path then this is the experience for you!
I will provide your first craft beer for the tour at our first location! Any additional drinks or food will be paid by the…
We'll be spending time in popular but local area of Tokyo, the craft beer bars we’ll visit are close each other and easily within walking distance. The neighborhood is well known for its eclectic qualities as well as bohemian vibe. There are tons of vintage shops, live music venues and great places to eat and drink around the are of Shimokitazawa.
Please wear comfortable shoes as there will be walking during the experience. I cannot personally accomodate dietary restrictions as it is limited to the restaurant menu that day. Please note of you are more than 30 minutes late the experience will need to be rebooked for a future date.
