CURRENTLY RATED THE #1 AIRBNB FOOD TASTING EXPERIENCE IN NEW YORK!!! On this experience we will answer the question "what is a sandwich?" as we FEAST on three different interpretations of the sandwich. And don't worry, we'll eat them all INDOORS to help protect us from the cold weather - this is an ALL WEATHER experience. Together we'll visit destinations that you will not find in a typical tourist guidebook as we eat our way through the history and evolution of the sandwich. Along the way we'll hear stories about the sandwiches we are eating and the people who are making them. We'll discover street art and we'll also learn how the people of the East Village have influenced the sandwich game in New York. Come with an open mind, leave with a FULL stomach. And if you would enjoy a beverage after the tour, or on another day during your NYC visit, join me on my BRAND NEW Airbnb Experience bar crawl "Pour One Out For NYC". * Sandwich venues are subject to change on the day of your experience. ** Don't see a day/time that suits you? Ask me for a new time and I can try to accommodate. *** Check out my new vegetarian friendly sandwich tour Eat the "New York" Sandwich on Airbnb. Link here: https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/438902

Beginning at Third Rail Coffee in the East Village, we’ll visit food establishments in the EV and Alphabet City ranging from local delicatessens to small hidden bodegas and even a craft beer bar.
Come with an empty stomach and an open mind! Yes New York is cold in the winter, but we'll stay indoors as much as possible. Plus, warm sandwiches protect us from the cold. Please still dress appropriately for the weather though. This tour is not ideal for gluten-free or vegetarians. Sorry!
