We start by meeting at the Hard Rock Café in Lisbon, with a small briefing given by our host. Taking-off from Lisbon in the morning, we head directly to the UNESCO-listed Pena Palace. The 19th-century Romantic palace is a wonder to discover and one you will not soon forget. It is one of the best places to take pictures. It’s placed high on top of the mountain with a splendid view that stretches for miles, all the way to the Ocean. As you stroll through the beautiful and exotic landscape, your guide will give you historical and architectural details on the region and its wonderful monuments. Next we head for Historical Sintra. Here our guests will be given the freedom to stroll through the town and purchase lunch. Once reconvened with our host we stop at a local gourmet shop to try out the local famous "Queijadas de Sintra". Our next stop is at "Casa Piriquita", which is famous for its travesseiros - a dessert made of puff pastry with a filling of almond cream. Heading back we'll stop at Cabo da Roca, Europe's Westernmost Point, before paying a brief visit to the Hell's Mouth (Boca do Inferno) and Cascais - a coastal town where many Portuguese Royal Families used to vacation.
I have been working as a tour operator for over three years, focusing mainly on private tours. This has been my focus thus far because I believe in giving each guest my full attention and customization. Because I understand the value of community and camaraderie I want to offer personalized experiences for small groups. For this I have the help of valuable co-hosts such as Teresa, who is a history major, José, who is a professional photographer and dedicated local guide, Rui, who is the master o 5 languages and an amazing person to meet. It is my goal to host memorable and meaningful experiences, making each guest feel part of a community.
