We will start at one of the most popular craft beer bars in the neighborhood. Once we introduce each other and break the ice over a beer, we head out to the neighborhood where I will show you structural clues that are still around that speak to the area's humble beginnings. We will also see many examples of some fantastic street art as well as monuments that speak to the horrors of Argentina's dirty war. We will cover the history of the neighborhood and see exactly how it went from a sleepy residential area to Buenos Aires' hottest, trendiest neighborhood. I will also give you many suggestions for how you can explore the neighborhood on your own. You can view this as an introductory quick and easy tour of Palermo Viejo. I will also have a camera with me to take pictures that I would then share with you of your tour.
One craft beer or you can have an alternative drink, just let me know your preference and I'll do my best to accomdate
I've been running AsadoAdventure asado and street art tours since 2016. I have lived in the neighborhood since 1999 and my wife's family since the 1950's. Ever since I moved here I have been involved with the local food industry in one way or another. I created a gourmet cookie brand with national distribution; I have organized a very popular yearly chili cook-off contest for 4 years; I have witnessed how this once sleepy residential neighborhood has turned into one of Argentina's hottest trendiest spot and I will show you exactly how that happened.
We visit one of the neighborhood's most popular craft beer bar to enjoy one beer before heading out to get acquainted with the neighborhood, its street art, and shops. We then walk along cobbelstoned streets going over the history and the street art of the neighborhood.
