Grab a drink, take a seat, pick up a brush and paint a stunning Dominican Male Model. Anyone can do it! Our male models are hand picked professionals who will be posing, as you channel your inner artist. Great for open-minded men, a girls night out, a memorable date, or just a spicy way to spend your weekend! This is the perfect event for novice painters who want to capture the beauty of the human form and represent it in a painting. I will guide a small class of participants through each step of the process –how to sketch, choose colors and paint your masterpiece. If you’re concerned about your ability, don’t worry – this event is meant to be fun and memorable. The class will last for 2.5 hours, which will give you time for instruction, drawing, painting and time to mix and mingle. The most exciting part is you get to take your painting home to hang on the wall! Please feel free to bring a bottle of wine of your choice, dress comfortably and wear something you might not mind getting a little paint on! This is the second installment of our Paint & Sip Series. The 1st one can be found here: https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/514572
I left the financial services industry in early 2016, moved from NYC to Santo Domingo, and launched Memories & Experiences in DR. For the last two years, I have both studied and practiced the art of painting under the tutelage of Gerson Rodriguez, an accomplished artist here in Santo Domingo. We have partnered together to offer you the Sip & Paint series. In this casual and exciting atmosphere, you will learn about Dominican culture, meet new people from around the world and paint your very own masterpiece, all while having a great time!
Water will be provided.
We will conduct the class in a quaint and charming studio on the famous street "Calle El Conde" in the Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo's oldest street. This street was where the first concrete buildings, the first city hall of America and the first cathedral of America were built. At present it is a pedestrian street full of shops, small squares, hotels, restaurants and tourist places. It is currently the only pedestrian street in Santo Domingo.
