I am a San Antonio native. I had a traditional Mexican upbringing & spent most of my childhood traveling to Mexico or going downtown San Antonio to experience our culture & traditions. I am bilingual w/Spanish as my first language. I grew up eating pan dulce, chalupas, tacos, homemade flour tortillas, gorditas, barbocoa, menudo, tamales & most importantly boracho beans(drunk beans). Mexican beer is a must for our family gatherings & you have to know how to“dress” your beer. Micheladas & Margaritas are also a must. Loteria(Mexican bingo), sombreros, Mexican candy & piñatas complete any event.
