Let’s Follow in Picasso’s footsteps as we explore the old town of Barcelona and delve into the world of the famous artist and his life as a young painter. We’ll discover the people and places that inspired his paintings and talk about the stories behind his artwork, from his very first masterpiece all the way through to his Cubist period, one of the most important art movements of all time. As well as Picasso, we’ll learn about the city’s rich 2000 year history and our artist’s contemporaries; Dali, Miro, and Gaudi. To round off our tour we’ll head to our private art hub, housed in a 19th-century modernist building, packed with work from some of the city’s most exciting emerging artists. We’ll share some drinks and snacks together and give you tips on great places to eat & drink, and off-the-beaten-track places to visit and things to do. We can’t wait to share our passion for art with you!
Hey everyone, we are Kat & Jimi and friends—a group of passionate art lovers who work in Street Art, Art History and within the Contemporary Art World. Our mission is to connect you to Barcelona’s culture, locals, and hidden spots through unique art experiences that get you off the beaten track and into the heart of the city’s art scene. We proudly work alongside Barcelona’s artistic community to help support local art projects, galleries, and artists. We also organize a lot of art events from our underground art gallery— A private art space housed in a 19th-century modernist building packed with work from some of the city’s most exciting emerging artists. We can’t wait to share our passion for art with you and show you our city.
We’ll veer off the beaten track through the beautiful maze of medieval backstreets in El Born — one of the most historic areas of Barcelona and home to some of the oldest buildings in the city. We’ll also visit the oldest part of the city, El Gotico — the city’s gothic quarter, which is over 2000 years old and boasts Roman ruins, picture-perfect hidden courtyards, and an impressive 14th-century cathedral.
We recommend you take this tour early on so you get a good understanding of Barcelona and our recommendations to help you make most of your time in our amazing city.
