During the three hours we will try out different techniques and materials. We will walk from one point to another to find different motifs in the center. I find it important to have the object we are drawing in front of us to be able to take a good look at the details and from there be able to reproduce them through a drawing or watercolour. Usually we'll draw from two or three different spots. Let me know if you have difficulties walking and we can stay in the first spot during the whole session. Drawing outside means that we have to find a way of sketching that is quick and allows us to make a sketch quit fast. We are going towards the winter so if it's cold or rainy we'll stay inside or semi indside. During the session we'll get in touch with both drawing and watercolour technics but if you are more keen on using only watercolours or just pencil it's up to you. I will bring all you need of materials during the course. The course is for both beginners and advanced. It is very stimulating having several participants attending the course at the same time because ideas are increasing seeing how others are dealing with the same object. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you don’t find the date in the calendar you are looking for I’m often available anyway.
This experience is for fun-loving people who want to see Florence through new eyes. For small groups, singles or a family who want to try out a new craft together while having fun even though "working hard" getting the image down on paper. Sketching outside means that you will start seeing the city through a new lens paying attention to small details and looking more carefully at what you see and have around you. I am a painter and I have a master degree in textile design. Work wise I am moving between fashion and fine art. I would be happy to show you some of my favorit spots in the city and introduce you to drawing and watercolours. If you are already used to sketch I'm sure I'll be able to give some good ideas about shading and stuff.
I will bring all materials; pencils, brushes, watercolours and paper that you need during the course. Just show up and have…
We will mostly be outside all the time starting next to the Dome, from there we will go towards the river and continue on the other side of the river. The class includes a walk and at least one substantial flight of stairs - where there is lift so let me know if you have troubles doing the stairs. One of the drawing spots involves standing for about an hour but can easily be changed with another location where you can sit down if you prefer.
We will be outside all the time so get closed according to the weather. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you don’t find the date or time in the calendar that you were looking for.
