You will be picked up near the Bologna train station and will be comfortably driven to our house in Valsamoggia. Firstly, we'll have a coffee and introduce ourselves. Then, the action will start! We will follow together the teaching of Pia: starting from ragù bolognese, dough preparation, and finishing doing tortelloni burro e salvia and tagliatelle with ragù. We will also prepare a delicious Mascarpone dessert. In the meantime we'll also have a quick appetizer with some local wine and typical food. You will discover all the secrets behind these traditional dishes that make Bologna famous all over the world, learning them directly from who holds them since generations. We will provide you with a notebook containing the recipes, where you can write down the key steps in the preparation and bring the learning back with you. The cooking part will last around 2-3 hours. Then we will eat all together the food we prepared in a wonderful location, in the Bolognese province immersed in the green. I make handmade pasta since I was little. I still remember the weekends spent in the kitchen with my Grandma pulling the dough while the room was full of smell of ragù, slowly cooking on the fire. This is what me and Pia want to share with you! Pia, my dear friend and co-host, is a traditional Bolognese “sfoglina” (dough maker), that worked for more than 40 years in many local restaurants and cooking businesses. Pia holds the secrets of the typical Emilian cuisine passed on from generation to generation. Emilia is the region where tagliatelle, tortelloni, lasagne alla bolognese and much more were invented. I’m Vittoria, a mother of three sons with more than 35 years of experience and passion in cooking for my family and the people I love. We want you to feel like at home, cooking together as if you were part of our big family!
Escape from the heat of the city. From Bologna you will be driven to Valsamoggia. We will conduct our experience in my house in Crespellano. It's a spacious mansion with big living spaces and a large garden, blooming with many different types of flowers and plants. If you love green and open spaces, away from the crowd of the city, this experience is for you!
