This is a music and history Experience. I am going to talk about Candomblé, the animist african religion, its origin in Africa and its development in Brazil. You are going to listen many songs related to Bahia and to the orishas of Candomblé. You will get to know more about the history behind the songs: plus, I will tell you all you need to know about how the africans form Ifé, Ketu, and other regions influenced our culture. This music adventure will happen in three different places: 1) Rio Vermelho: - A preta do acarajé - Afoxé - Oxotocanxoxô - Yorubahia - À bela Yemanjá - Meu canto 2) Jardim de Allah: - Berimbau - Massemba - Ilé Asè - É d'Oxum - Yaô - Beleza Pura 3) Itapuã: - Tarde em Itapuã - A lenda do Abaeté - Saudade - Itapuã - Da Bahia e de Yemanjá. Hi! My name is Vitor and I'm passionate about the brazilian culture: History and Music are lifelong passions! I graduated in Law School, I have been a singer/songwriter for the past years and now I'm a teacher of 6 languages. I have been sharing my passion for Salvador with friends for a long time, playing and telling stories about bahia's music and ethnic history. And they've always told me I should do it for visitors: so I thought carefully about this AirBnb experience in order to reveal to you Salvador's fascinating people through its Music and History. Let's enjoy some brazilian songs!
The performance will take place in 3 different beautiful places. We’ll listen to some music and hear some stories in: - Rio Vermelho - Jardim de Allah - Itapuã.
We are going to listen to music while enjoying nice views. You will know stories about candomblé and about bahian music! :)
