7.00 am - 7.30 am: MEET behind Burger King (at the car park), which is opposite Margaritaville (Hip Strip), CENTRAL Montego Bay. 7.30 am - 9.30 am: Drive through mountains and rainforest to see breathtaking views of rural, wild Jamaica on the way to Black River. 9.30 am - 11.00 am: Go through #1 Black River on a boat to see a lot of birds in the bushes and wild CROCODILES in the river in their natural habitat. NOTE: there is NO intentional direct contact with crocodiles who freely roam in the river, but since some of them were rescued, raised and released into the wild by the guides from the sanctuary - crocodiles are not afraid of people and come close to the boat. Guests are not allowed to touch them, but can take very good pictures of them. 11.00 am - 2.00 pm: Stop on the way to get lunch and then drive to Appleton Rum Estate. This is gem, hidden in the hills between sugar cane plantations, where you can have a trip around the working factory to see every stage how rum is made. 2.00 pm - 4.30 pm: The biggest waterfalls in Jamaica #3 Y.S. Falls - give you a full adventure feel, yet with a rather developed infrastructure to walk along the falls. Swing and Jump in the falls, or relax by the pool waiting for hummingbirds to come to the feeder. 4.30 pm - 6.30 pm: Return to Montego Bay will take about 2-2.30 hours. We will be going to South Coast, which is less explored by tourists, yet it's an amazing place full of wildlife and breathtaking views. First, we'll go on a boat via Black River and watch crocodiles in their natural habitat. Then explore the functioning Rum factory and learn about how rum has been made in the Caribbean since 1600s, before ending the tour at the biggest waterfall in Jamaica: Y.S. Falls.
This trip includes a lot of DRIVING, part of it is through whiny mountain roads. Motion Sickness prevention pills are recommended.
