We will meet in the parking lot on Park Street for Ice Glen and Laura's Tower (you should see the red sign in the picture in the listing) I encourage participants to enjoy barefoot walking if weather allows. Breathe deeply in the Berkshire air! We begin our journey, cross the bridge the railroad tracks and on the trail. As we journey we will make stops to explore the native flora (plants and trees) and fauna (animals and critters) . I can give you plenty of information about the history of the area and the therapeutic uses of plants as we hike. Our hike takes us through the geological wonder of ice glen, a glacial boulder field which is often icy or snowy from November well into June! When we complete our journey through Ice glen there is a lovely resting spot. Here we will enjoy a short 30 minute yoga session before we begin our return journey back to the car. Once back to the car we will finish with some mindful movement and if time allows, a snack! I will send a snack away with you if time does not allow. We use yoga mats, ourselves and the natural surroundings - rocks, trees and the earth! (maximum of 8 guests). The guided yoga lesson will last between 20-30 minutes. I enjoy speaking with people about their experiences; if you're new to the area or just visiting I offer local knowledge on places to stay, eat, etc.
I teach bespoke yoga and meditation. Runners, Amputees and folks wanting to deepen their yoga practice come to me for a private or small group lessons. My knowledge of local hiking trails, flora and fauna is extensive. I can teach you about local wildflowers and their medicinal and therapeutic uses. I am also a keen runner represented the country of Scotland (where I lived for 14 years ) in international and cross country running.

The trails in and around Stockbridge are unique spaces of both natural and anthropological history. Guests will enjoy time in Ice Glen, important because of it's glacial history and anthropological history. Ice Glen is a boulder field which separated from the adjoining mountainsides and fell to the bottom of the v-shaped valley after the end of the last glacial period over 11,000 years ago. We will also see Massachusetts' oldest pine tree!
In summer please bring tick repellent or wear long trousers. As the months get cooler layer up so you can enjoy the experience without getting cold. Bring your camera but leave your phone in the car so you can experience the trails and yourself without distraction.
