Welcome to our home, a charming 1914 red brick villa in Central Pukekohe. I will be cooking you a delicious five course menu in my registered kitchen. You will be greeted and seated by my partner (if he's around) and I, in my quirky dining room which sports artwork from travels and charity shop rummages. You can bring any beverage (alcoholic or non alcoholic) of your choice. You can relax and enjoy each other's company while I cook your food. You can take a break and play a game of darts or take a stroll in our gorgeous front lawn or meet our chickens in the backyard. There will be a lot of eating and chatting in an intimate setting. Your meal will finish with tea or coffee.
I can accommodate dietary preferences or allergies that you might have. Please let me know at the time of your booking.
I'm Archana, a chef with 15 years of experience cooking in professional kitchens in India and New Zealand. I am trained in European cooking and have had the opportunity to learn other cuisines, including Mediterranean and Asian. The journey has been somewhat eclectic, ranging from 5 star hotels in India, to a 3 hatted restaurant in New Zealand, and other fine-dining establishments in between. Over the years I have realized that sharing my love for food is most important to me and so I want to create a personal dining experience by offering inventive, delicious food in the warmth of my home.
You will be dining in my home, the old Vicarage which is a charming 1914 red brick villa. My house is located on a generous quarter acre section with beech, oak and fruit trees. The interior of my home has some beautiful original Rimu floors and doors with an old axminster carpet throughout. The grounds in particular are reminiscent of another era and the front porch is a perfect spot for a cup of tea to enjoy the well maintained and bosky lawn.
