Today we will create a sterling silver ring that incorporates a stone-setting for a piece of Arizona turquoise from Kingman, AZ. This turquoise is AAA grade and hand cut and picked for color and quality. In our 3 hours together, we will learn to size, texture, form, and solder our ring. We will then use a bezel setting to hold the stone and apply it to the ring. Polishing the piece is next and then we will set the stone to complete this unique ring for you to wear home or give as a gift for that someone special. Take a piece of Arizona turquoise home in a ring that you created in this exciting and hands-on jewelry adventure. Please keep in mind that each piece of turquoise is hand-cut and polished, variations in size, shape and color occur. I will have several for you to choose from. :)
I have a Masters Degree in metalsmithing, jewelry design and fabrication. I have been working and teaching in the jewelry field for 25+ years and have taught at several Universities and Colleges throughout this time. In 2008 I opened the Blink Gallery and extended the gallery environment to include a full jewelry teaching studio. Blink Gallery allows for 1-5 students to learn skills in a comforting, hands-on environment. This intimate learning atmosphere allows for each student to achieve success in their designs and create jewelry that they can be proud to wear home or give as gifts. :)
All materials and tools to create your wonderful Arizona turquoise ring are included.
Blink Gallery and Studio is located in the heart of the Arts District in Scottsdale, Arizona. Come and take a jewelry class with me and then tour the other galleries afterwards at your leisure. Not seeing a date that works for you? Please contact me via message and I will do my best to accommodate you. All my best! Ingrid
