If you don't see a date/time you want, please send us a message with the preferred date, time and number of people. We will see if we can accommodate your request. Something really magical happens when diverse cultures come together and are allowed to have fun with paint. Add a glass of wine or beer and it is positively festive. I will guide a small class of participants through each step of the process –how to sketch, choose colors and paint your masterpiece. If you’re concerned about your ability, don’t worry – this event is meant to be fun and memorable. The class will last for 2 hours, which will give you time for instruction, painting and time to mix and mingle. The most exciting part is you get to take your painting home to hang on the wall! Please feel free to bring a bottle of wine of your choice, dress comfortably and wear something you might not mind getting a little paint on! This is the first installment of our Paint & Sip Series. The 2nd one, Sip & Paint a Dominican Male Model, can be found here: https://abnb.me/sTu9Q397rV?user_id=87357055&s=50 I can't wait to meet you!
I left the financial services industry in early 2016, moved from NYC to Santo Domingo, and partnered with Jonathan Ortiz to launch Memories & Experiences in DR. For the last two years, I have both studied and practiced the art of painting under the tutelage of Gerson Rodriguez, an accomplished artist here in Santo Domingo. We have all partnered together to offer you the Sip & Paint series. In this casual and exciting atmosphere, you will learn about Dominican culture, meet new people from around the world and paint your very own masterpiece, all while having a great time!
Water will be provided!
We will conduct the class in a quaint and charming studio on the famous street "Calle El Conde" in the Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo's oldest street. This street was where the first concrete buildings, the first city hall of America and the first cathedral of America were built. At present it is a pedestrian street full of shops, small squares, hotels, restaurants and tourist places. It is currently the only pedestrian street in Santo Domingo.
