This 3-day Alaskan wilderness adventure will teach us how to have fun and be comfortable in Alaska's premiere season. We'll enjoy dog mushing, ice fishing, and snowshoeing, along with options for crafts like spoon carving or survival skills like fire making, (with some time for play too). You'll stay in a private handmade log and sod cabin heated by a woodstove and dine on local Alaskan meals with the hosts. With the help of friendly guides and our family of Alaskan Husky sled dogs, this will be an unforgettable adventure. This is a unique and personalized experience. Please talk with us before booking to ensure that it is a good fit for you. We are currently accepting bookings for a minimum of 2 guests. Ask us about larger parties and alternate dates, we often have flexibility!

This tour takes place in the northern Alaskan forest at our homestead on a south-facing bluff on the Tanana River. To get here, we’ll drive south of Fairbanks and mush in with a dog team.
Jenna and David Jonas have been living a largely subsistence lifestyle in the Alaskan wilderness for over 25 combined years. Since we built our first cabin together in 2013, we have been sharing our love for this place with guests from around the world as the owners and guides at Boreal Journeys Alaska LLC, a dogsled ecotour company. We are a small-scale, family-run business focused on providing authentic experiences for our guests. Each trip is guided by the owners and custom-designed to make your dreams of Alaska a reality. We make most of the gear that we use ourselves and treat our small dog team like family. Guest to guide ratio: 2:1. We are both certified Wilderness First Responders and instructors in traditional skills with the Folk School in Fairbanks. We built our homestead from the ground up and love sharing it!
