Welcome to the Barcelona Chocolate Tour! This sweet guided tour will take you through the history of chocolate in Barcelona, from when its first made its way here from the Americas, to todaýs most advanced and recognized dessert creators of the city. Our tour is Vegan and Gluten Free friendly! :)
Starting with one of the first Chocolatiers that introduced Hot Chocolate, and later businesses that started selling Chocolate-Milk, Churros, and other now well known delicacies, you'll get to taste your way through the history of Chocolate in Barcelona and all of Europe! We will be visiting family-owned shops that have been operating since the 1849's, and some are still mostly known to locals.
Other things to note
Please remember to leave some space in your stomach!
Choco-experience is a tasting and during our walk we will share some sweets, so no worries about your belly. Also we can addapt a time for you!

I originally thought that the experience was a little bit expensive, however at the end of the experience it was exceptional value for my money.
Ksenia was an absolutely awesome guide, the information provided on the history of chocolate was fascinating and the progression of chocolate through spain was so much more than just eating chocolate. In fact due to the covid restrictions three of the four chocolate treats were takeaways and I only had the chocolate cake after supper tonight and it was delicious.
I really enjoyed how I got a tour of the areas,the history of barcelona and the history of chocolate and the families involved in the evolution of chocolate.
I strongly recommend this tour to anyone. Even during lock down restrictions. I was initially worried about a curtailed experience but if my experience was curtailed then the full experience must be out of this world!
I really enjoyed spending the morning with Ksenia. Oh, and don't eat before you do the tour (I had not eaten breakfast and I had the left over churros for lunch and nearly considered skipping dinner and just having cake).
Turns out that chocolate is really filling :)

I’ve experienced tours in more than 30 countries and have traveled to even more. This experience was far and away the most enjoyable and comprehensive experience I’ve ever had. The amount of detail, the ability to field questions, the breadth of knowledge, the passion, and the commitment to satisfaction were all unparalleled. Not only a highly recommended experience, but so well done that I later purchased a private tour which was equally amazing and seemingly effortlessly personalized.

This was a wonderful experience! Ksenia was an excellent host and communicated very much before our booking to make sure we felt comfortable. She was also very accommodating when we had to bring my two small children (a baby and toddler) and easily adapted to our needs. I felt very comfortable on our tour and Ksenia answered all of our questions with patience and passion. She is very knowledgeable about Spain and chocolate and we learned a lot! We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves chocolate and wants to learn more about Barcelona.
