This 1 1/2- 2-hour walking tour of Fremont starts in Upper Fremont. As you walk along the shaded sidewalks of Fremont Avenue you will be given the history of this eclectic neighborhood. Fremont is known for its art and this tour will take you past the Fremont Art Council, the Fremont Troll, and many hidden art Murals. Learn the dubious history of the Statue of Lenin and our rocket fuselage. We will make a quick drop by Theo's Chocolates to sample some local chocolate or stop for a gelato before taking a stroll along the canal. Finish your tour with a local beer at one of our many microbreweries.
I will have 1-2 umbrellas as needed.
Walk Fremont Avenue to the Fremont Art Council. From there enjoy a walk past the neighborhood library to the Troll under the bridge. Along the way view hidden art murals and stairways. The River Walk passes outdoor sculptures and you will learn a little about the colorful history of this area. Enjoy a stop at Theo's Chocolate factory and then off to the Statue of Lenin and the Rocket Fusalage.
This walk includes a walk up and down a steep hill. Please contact me if you are limited by health reasons and we can meet at the bottom of Fremont Ave.
