As a 90-min facilitated mindfulness nature walk--this experience is deeply healing, grounding and connecting. The first half hour will be dedicated to facilitating you through a variety of intentional mindfulness exercises before embarking on this walk to prepare you for the optimal experience. Though facilitated, the majority of the walk--which is about 45 mins--will be done in silence. The last 15 minutes will be used as a time to process this experience with the facilitator, to share insights and discoveries. If you have been looking for an incredibly powerful experience to bring you back in alignment with your personal truth and centered-ness, look no further. This experience is open to people of all fitness levels. This is NOT a hike but rather a slow and incredibly intentional therapeutic process that changes everyone who experiences it. What makes this different experience from just walking in the woods, you might ask? Well, it is the manner in which it is facilitated. I work as a self-care guide at my business The Nature in You, in which I facilitate mindfulness and therapeutic nature experiences for personal transformation. I am a certified Reiki master and have spent over five years facilitating individuals and groups through mindfulness activities, personal transformation, and guided ritual and ceremony. So many of us live lives filled with disconnection, overwhelm, anxiety and/or depression. I am passionate about facilitating life-changing experiences--using nature as my vehicle to help others re-connect and re-align with their true selves.
Depending on your needs and goals, there are a variety of natural areas available for our forest experience. Portland has the largest densely forested urban park in the US! I will take you to specifically chosen locations either within Portland or just outside the city that are quiet, with minimal foot-traffic so that you can have the optimal experience of peace, quiet and connection.
There are no public restrooms located near the trailhead. Please dress appropriately for the weather. We are in a heavily forested area at high altitude which means cooler temperatures.
