First we'll meet at my home, the "beach chalet" for introductions. Then we'll walk down the path (people with mobility issues would find challenging). We'll spend time on the beach, exploring the tidal pools and amongst the logs collecting shells, driftwood, sea glass and other natural elements that speak to you. We may see sea lions, eagles, deer, otter, seals and more while we're there! Then we'll go back up the hill to my warm workshop where we'll create unique decorative items from the materials such as wreaths, painted rocks, imitation glass floats, twig coat hooks, wind chimes, mobiles or just a coastal display. You'll be amazed at what you'll take home, even if you don't feel you have a crafty bone in your body. What a great souvenir of your trip to Courtenay!
We'll have some snacks to nibble on to keep those creative juices flowing.
I'll provide all the equipment that you'll need so just show up!
Hi there! I'm Jane, a trained interior designer. My beach "chalet" is on the waterfront in Courtenay and it is a reflection of my coastal vibe. Everyday I'm drawn to my beach to see what has recently washed up on shore, collecting shells, driftwood and other natural materials. It's so fulfilling taking a found item and transforming it into a unique home decor accent which feeds my soul. Sharing this experience and helping guests create your own meaningful souvenir of your time in the Comox Valley only adds to my enjoyment.
My beach is not accessible to the general public. We'll walk down my private path to the beach from my house. It is not wheel chair friendly and you do need to have fairly good mobility to travel this path. The workshop is in my home. We'll have lots of space to spread out and create.

We do have a dog on our property. He is very sweet and friendly and full of energy. He is a Red Tick Coonhound. Just letting you know in case of allergies.
