We will begin our classes with teaching everyone how to make pasta from scratch: ravioli, spaghetti, tagliatelle! We provide also a vegan alternative with dough without eggs. You will learn how to do 3 types of long pasta, 3 of short, and 4 different kind of ravioli. You can take this knowledge with you to your own kitchen with a copy of our recipes for you. Last but not least: bring your own bottle of wine! Cheers! At the end you’ll can taste your handmade pasta!
Hi everybody! I’m Lucia, head chef and co- owner of Mattarello Cooking lab, and me and my husband Francesco are both pasta makers. I’m from Italy and grew up with my grandma who is the ninja of the tagliatelle. I start making pasta from when I was six and I never stop. I also tried to be an attorney in Italy but food is my passion and in 2010 I invest my scholarship to open my first little bakery-pasta shop and then another one bigger in the center of Milan. Last year I moved in San Diego with Francesco and we really would like share our passion whit you!

We will conduct our classes in our beautiful bistro in the heart of historical Gaslamp quarter in San Diego. We will offer the experience while the restaurant will be closed to the public: in this way we can stay focused on the lessons and offer best experience possible.
